Crystal Joy (Patterson) Koehlhoeffer
August 21, 1953 - March 14, 2020
PEKIN ~ Crystal “Cris” Joy (Patterson) Koehlhoeffer, 66, of Pekin, passed away at 2:52 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born on August 21, 1953 in Pekin to Arthur “Bud” and Donna (Chitwood) Patterson.
Surviving are one son, Aaron (Erin) Koehlhoeffer of Libertyville; one daughter, Brooke (Luana) Petersen of Peoria; three grandchildren, Tyler, Tommy, Ella all of Libertyville; one sister, Dianne (Larry) Barker of Pekin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cris worked as a customer service representative for Ameren for many years. She previously worked for Pekin Hospital in the Human Resources Department.
A lover of the holiday traditions, Cris enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends and shared many of her recipes and techniques with her children. She enjoyed playing Euchre, Yahtzee and various board games. In her free time, she played the slot machines on the river boat, watched cooking shows, movies, Jeopardy and “her story,” The Young and the Restless. She especially enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Colorado. She was her children and grandchildren’s number one cheerleader when they were competing in sporting events. She cherished spending time with her family, recounting family memories, interacting with her co-workers at Ameren and trying new foods and restaurants.
