Debra K. (Vogelsang) Koelling

Debra Kay Koelling, 62, of Bartonville, IL passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She suffered from an aggressive form of Pulmonary Fibrosis. Debbie was born March 8, 1953 in Pekin, IL to Arthur D. and Charlotte (Howard) Vogelsang. She married Kenneth B. Koelling on December 22, 1994, he survives.
Also surviving is her daughter Jessica Berardi of Pekin, IL, grandchildren: Gage Lohnes, Violet and Willow Welbourne all of Pekin, IL, Tyler (Brittany) Carlson of Heyworth, IL, Tim (Meghan) Carlson of Newport News, VA, Katie Carlson of Dunlap, IL, Jesse Koelling of Bartonville, IL, Drake Koelling of Brimfield, IL and one great grandson Connor Carlson, her loving sister, Vicky Robinson of Las Vegas, NV, brothers; Greg D. (Mary Ann) Vogelsang of Rock Island, IL, Jim P. Vogelsang of Pekin, IL, and Joe (Christy) Vogelsang of Pekin, IL, and sister, Sheri A. (Joe) Colon of Tremont, IL, Step-son Bob Koelling of Brimfield, IL, step-daughter Tina (Mike) Carlson of Dunlap, IL, sister-in-law Patricia Stevens of Peoria, IL, as well as a life-long friend Connie (Robitski) Goodin of North Pekin, IL, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family is also very appreciative of the kindness of Race (Amanda) Vogelsang of East Peoria, IL, Claye (Nora) Vogelsang of Las Vegas, NV, and Sheri (Mike) Strohl of Heyworth, IL. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Mark E. Vogelsang.
Debbie was a very caring person, always there to provide comfort and support to those who were in need. She loved traveling with her husband to Paris, London, and other European cities or a simple road trip stopping at various antique shops around the country, particularly the Southwest.
Services will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 – 6 pm at the funeral home on Wednesday. Cremation rites have been accorded.
