DANIEL R. DONALDSON

Daniel R. Donaldson, age 56 of Kerrville, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 at his residence. He was born August 21, 1953 in Pekin, IL to Clinton Douglas Donaldson and Sammy Lane Elliott. On November 25, 1975, he married Susan Heslop in Peoria, IL.

Daniel served in the United States Marine Corp from 1971-1973 and was a member of the VFW Post 1480. Daniel was a firefighter/paramedic and a member of the Fire Union. He loved the fire department and saving people’s lives. His extended family was the Canyon Lake Fire Department. He also loved NASCAR.

Daniel was a devoted husband and loving father.

He is survived by wife, Susan Donaldson of Kerrville; mother, Sammy Zeller of Kerrville; daughter, Jennifer Elaine Goodman and husband, John Patrick of Kerrville; sons, Daniel Seth Donaldson and Kimberly Castillo of San Antonio and Patrick Dean Donaldson and wife, Mellissa of Kerrville; sister, Sammy Main and husband, Dan of Kerrville; brother, Jeffrey Donaldson and wife, Nancy of Yukon, OK; grandchildren, Avery Donaldson, Blaine Donaldson and Aiden Donaldson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2009, 5-7 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 12, 2009, 2 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Dan Main. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
