Melba A. Jamirson-Mans (Hutton)

GREEN VALLEY ~ Melba A. Jamirson – Mans (Hutton), 62, of Green Valley, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at her home.

Born February 1, 1952 in Pekin to Earnie and Irma (Meade) Jamirson, she married Harold Junior Mans on January 21, 1971 in Pekin.  He preceded her in death.  She later married David L. “Bucko” Hutton on September 2, 1989 in Stillville, Missouri.  He died February 3, 2011 in Peoria.  She also was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Christine “Cricket” Wilson. Surviving are one daughter, Deb (Keith) Campbell of Green Valley; one son, Harold (Jenifer) Mans, Jr. of Gridley; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Jamirson of Ramsey and William (Tabitha) Jamirson of Mansfield, OH and four sisters, Sandra (Roger) Stone of Browning, Cassie (Doug) Oakley of Mansfield, OH, Sharon Brackett and Debra Jamirson, both of Pekin. Melba worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in home health care for more than 10 years, last working in 2013. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing and going camping.  She was a fan of Star Trek and Star Wars and was a true “Trekie.”  Melba loved spoiling her grandchildren and was a video gaming fanatic. She was of the Baptist faith. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  The Rev. Connie Rigler will officiate.  Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.  Immediately following services there will be a gathering at the Amvets Post #169, 660 Radio City Dr., North Pekin, IL.
