Nancy (McCoy) Parker
June 23, 1953 - December 8, 2022


Nancy Jo McCoy Parker, 69, of Mabank, Texas, passed on to her heavenly home on December 8, 2022, surrounded by her children.

Nancy was born June 23, 1953, to Glen and Mary Ann McCoy in Pekin, Illinois and was the youngest of three children. After graduating high school in Pekin in 1971, she attended and worked at a community college in Peoria, Illinois. This is where she met her first husband and father of her children, William “Bill” Parker. They lived in Chicago, Dallas and ultimately settled in Henderson County in 1988.

While living in Henderson County Nancy then met and settled down with Thomas Lance Williams until his death in 2016. During her career Nancy worked for Curtis Mathes, Glen Snyder C.P.A. and Fortenberry Pipe & Supply as a bookkeeper.

Nancy is survived by her children, Dawn Parker-MacAvoy (James); Matthew Parker (Tiffany) and William “Jake” Parker, and grandchildren, Adeline and Emma MacAvoy, Kraven Parker, Hayden Bulla and Serenity Parker. Other survivors include brother Greg McCoy (Deb) of Yucaipa, California; and sister, Michele Meginn of Bucyrus, Kansas; sisters-in-law, Nancy Williams of Canton, Texas and Petra Williams of West Germany. Also surviving are numerous extended family members. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and her spouses.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17th at 2:00 p.m. at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens. Visitation with the family will be held shortly before the service.

Nancy and her family wish to extend their appreciation to the numerous healthcare workers and hospice staff that helped care for her in her final days. Donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas- Homeplace of Tyler, Texas.
