Nancy J. (Patton) Martin, 58, of Peoria, IL passed away at 3:22 pm Sunday, April 29, 2012 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Nancy was born on October 9, 1953 in Pekin to June and Salome (Kerr) Martin.
She was preceded in death by her father.

A 1971 graduate of Pekin Community High School; Nancy worked for more than twenty five years as a property manager.
She spent 16 years at the Heartland Apartments in Peoria. She touched many lives there and built numerous lasting friendships. Prior to that she worked for many years at the Florence Street Apartments in Pekin.
Nancy also worked for 13 years at the American Red Cross. She facilitated blood donations and drives.
Surviving are: her daughter, Joni (Chuck) Barth of Pekin; three grandchildren, Airman 1st Class Nicholas Barth, Madelline and Allison Barth all of Pekin; her mother, Salome of Pekin; brother, Joe (Kim Stafford) Martin; Nephew Joseph (Sarah) Martin, Niece Cecily Martin, Great Nephew Joseph Martin the 3rd, Great Niece Leah Martin all of Morris, IL.

Nancy loved her dogs, playing the guitar, listening to The Beatles; spending time with her friends, and reading.
Honoring her generous wish, the gift of life was shared with many people in need through organ and tissue donation.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, May 4, 2012 at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Wenndt officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Pekin.
