PEKIN ~ Steven L. Walker, 71 of Pekin passed away at 4:28 pm, Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

He was born to Jimmy and Norma (Spencer) Walker in Jacksonville, IL on July 31, 1953. He was preceded in death by his father.

Steve is survived by; his mother, Norma; his longtime companion Mary Adcock; one daughter, Jennifer Walker of Pekin; four grandchildren, Shailey, Chance, Kylie and Becca; and three great grandchildren, Willow, Triton, and Lucian; and one brother, Philip K. Walker of Pekin.

Steve retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company. He was a member of UAW 974, the American Legion, and the Moose Lodge. He was a past president of the Eagles. He enjoyed target practice, golf, and working out. His greatest treasure was time spent with family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory. Cremation will be accorded after the visitation. Inurnment will be in Lakeside Mausoleum at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
