Scott Kevin Barnes
1953-2003Pekin - Scott Keith Barnes, 50, of Boulder, Colorado, formerly of Pekin and Carbondale, Illinois died Friday, September 5, 2003, at Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Boulder.
He was born March 7, 1953, in Macomb, IL to Richard and Betty Barnes. He married Elizabeth Hoffman in 1974 in Pekin IL.
Surviving are; his mother, Betty Barnes of Peoria; his step-mother, Ruth Barnes of Groveland, IL; two sons, Benjamin Barnes of Upper-Marlboro, MD and Charles Barnes of Denver, CO; one daughter, Samantha Barnes of Boulder CO; two sisters, Shaun (and Victor) Davis of Boulder, CO and Sherry (and Tim) Pollman of Pekin; and his partner Patricia Meenahan of Evanston, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard on August 13, 1990 and his grandparents.
Scott was a 1971 graduate of Pekin Community High School and he attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL.
He was a self-employed contractor in Carbondale Illinois.
He was a former confirmed member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Pekin.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 20, 2003, at Noel-Henderson Funeral Home. The Rev Ron Little will officiate. Cremation was accorded in Colorado.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or Harbor Light Hospice in Peoria.
